Not Me! Monday!
Posted on February 1, 2009
It's been the kind of weekend that definitely warrants playing along on THIS blog carnival!
First, my husband did NOT leave me for 8 hours on Saturday to work at a wrestling tournament at his high school. He wouldn't b/c although the money is good he knows that I cherish Saturdays when I have help from him. And I definitely did not spend the day counting down until he came back home. I love my kids and spending time with them so I would NOT do that!
Second, while at home all day with said children, we did not spend 30 minutes playing "time out!" My kids don't spend so much time in time out that they enjoy pretending to be the momma and give time out to each other!
Oh no! And they do NOT sit on the stool (imitating me) demanding an apology and explaining what the person sitting in the chair did wrong. And I most certainly didn't play along!
And we demand the utmost respect for the things in our home from our kids too. We make them pick up their toys and put their dirty clothes in the hamper and we DEFINITELY don't let them do things like jump on the furniture b/c that would be totally disrespectful.
No seriously. We don't let them jump on the furniture.
And if they happen to disobey we most certainly punish them immediately. We would never go get the camera and demand they do it over and over again to unsure we got a good shot.
Truly, no good parent would ever FORCE their kid, who doesn't feel well, to keep jumping over and over until she just refuses to jump anymore. And we also would never make the other one take a turn so we get photos of her too. Seriously. Never.
I mean really, what kind of parents do you think we are?
And I would never use "we" when I really mean "I" just b/c it sounds better.
Now, I am the kind of person who is looking to save pennies wherever possible and now cuts her own kid's hair b/c it's curly and is forgiving of being completely uneven. But I am not the person that found this:
or this
Nope! Not me! Because that would mean that my perfect little 3 year old decided to cut her own hair and now has a nice bald spot on the back of her head and spiky little bangs to show for her disobedience.
But that's not me and my kids b/c my kids are perfect and never disobey.
And that photo (with clip-on earrings and everything) wasn't taken at 8am today and NO WAY was I letting my kids run around before church eating candy on a necklace! No way man.
AND. I am not finishing this post without showing you that last freaking Valentine craft b/c I wouldn't leave you hanging like that AGAIN. I'm a better blogger than that. So it's NOT ME who is going to hit POST and run for the covers desperate for sleep!
