could this be more last minute?

So I had this GREAT idea for a Christmas gift I wanted to share here like TWO MONTHS AGO and kept putting it off and then forgetting and then my kids would cry and I would write about that instead. And now I still have the idea but it's a week until the due date so whatever. I'm going to still tell you the idea and if you want to work fast (if you're a client it's easier!) then you have ONE WEEK to order one of these bad boys… and at the end I will be nice and give you a tutorial on how to do it yourself. I'm nice like that.
It's a FAMILY MEMORY GAME. Like Memory. You know? Memory:
So I thought it would be fun to make this game but with PHOTOS! How cool is that? And because I love this I wanted to make it for you, if you want one. It's not cheap b/c of my time and my cost but it'll be a family heirloom someday, something your kids will cherish! I've made it for two families already (I guess I did mention it to a few people!) and here are the backs of their cards (b/c I will customize the name of the game to whatever you'd like!):
Or you could call it something like "the Allen Memory Game" or whatever you'd like!
And here is what it looks like:
You can use family snap shots like I did, I tried to get each member of our family in the game including aunts, cousins and grandparents. Or if you're a client you can use your photo shoot pictures. You can make me a disk of your photos, 25 total photos for a 50 pack game, or tell me which from your shoot you'd like to use. Easy! Email me if you're interested and remember, you have ONE week!
BUT. If you are the crafty type or the type that is trying to save money this year or the type that likes doing things themselves I will show you the first way I tried this (before I realized my TIME to make it was wasted when I could do it digitally so much faster!)
FIRST: I printed out wallet sized photos of the ones I wanted. Most places will print 4 wallets of each photo though so I was making one game for us and one for my niece Samantha. Just take that into consideration.
SECOND: I glued each photo onto a piece of scrapbook paper. You should use the same paper for the entire game so the backs don't give a clue to the matches.
THIRD: I cut out the paper+photo cards. The rounded corners totally ticked me off!
FOURTH: I had Kinkos laminate them for me, which was way more expensive than I thought!
FIFTH: I cut them out AGAIN.
So see, you can totally do it yourself, it's just easier to have me do it digitally!

Apple.com makes these little bitty books but if you don't have a MAC you can't make them, so I will make them for you! CHEAP! They are $6 each and you have to order 3 of them b/c that's how Apple sells them. They are 2×3 and make GREAT brag books for your purse or a GRANDMA's purse! We make them for my parents every year and they LOVE them! Don't you mom (insert comment here!)???
