Welcome To Jodified!

Hi. Welcome. My name is Jodie and I am a blogger. Eventually there will be a support group I'm sure. I am also a photographer. Oh, and a mom. To three small children. And I am pretty bad at balancing it all, but work everyday to get better. I also don't cook. I suck at laundry and struggle to return phone calls. I need a hair cut too but ponytails hide everything. This blog is not about that, but then it is, and sometimes it isn't. This blog is my life. My kids, my work, my struggles, my joys. My once professional, now personal blog that is totally me. And I love it. So welcome.

Sunday, day of rest?

Have you ever had one of those days that you collapse into bed just completely content because you got so much accomplished? Today was one of those days. This is a big deal to me because since Bailey, and especially since Parker, these days are few and far between.

We went to church, got a ton of yard work done, played with the girls, I actually made dinner and now I’m headed to finish painting the table for the playroom. We got so much done outside it’s amazing and we’re so excited to see what the end result will look like! Lot’s more to do until that happens, but we’ll get there eventually. Also, I felt like the biggest stud b/c I fixed the loose toilet seat and WD-40ed all the squeaky doors! After I finished mowing the lawn I took Bailey for a ride:

Ok, funny story time…

Bailey spent the night last night at GoGo and Bubba’s house. Her uncle Jack is home from college for spring break but had some kind of rush event for his fraternity. He came home around 3am very drunk tired. He’d been sleeping in our room (which has the crib in it) b/c of the neighbor’s barking dog so when he got home he went and passed out fell asleep on the bed in there. He had no idea Bails was sleeping over or all of this might not have happened. Terri heard him in the room b/c she had the monitor on to hear Bails. So she’s laying in bed and hears Bailey start moving around and talking. The next thing she knows, Bailey is yelling, “HI! HI JACK! HI!” He freaks out b/c he has no idea what’s going on! How that kid saw him in the dark and knew who it was is beyond me, but how funny that she stood up in the crib, looked over to see who was in her room, and decided to wake him up?!?

Luckily Uncle Jack loves Bailey more than anything (he’s so cute with her!) so he forgave her for nearly giving him a heart attack. Alls well that ends well.

And yes my kid is half naked. Most days she ends up like that at some point. Don’t judge me. She just loves being barefoot and topless. Don’t we all?
